Help with Bookmarks

  • Do you frequently search for the same chemical, formulation, or regulatory topic - looking for new or updated information?
  • Do you frequently return to the same document - looking for updates?
The Bookmarking functionality allows you to quickly return to search results or specific documents. Any document, or set of search results, in this application can be saved to a bookmark.

At the top of each individual document or set of search results is a row of icons to help you manage your documents.

To Add a Bookmark:

  1. Navigate to the page you wish to save.
  2. Select from the top right function bar to bookmark a document or location.
  3. You will be prompted to provide a name for the Bookmark (up to 50 characters) - choose something that will help you remember why you bookmarked that particular document.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The status icon will change to to indicate the location has been bookmarked for future retrieval.
  6. Bookmarks persist from session to session. You do not have to re-bookmark documents each time you log in.

To Manage Your Bookmarks:

  1. Select the Bookmarks menu from the left hand navigation menu.
  2. Click the Manage Bookmarks link - bookmarks are displayed alphabetically.
  3. Select the View link to access the bookmarked page.
  4. Select the Delete link to remove the bookmark from your list - this will delete your bookmark only, not the actual document. You can re-bookmark a document at any time.
  5. Select the Update link to change the title associated with the bookmark - change the name or information to make it more intuitive for your future use.

To Access a Bookmarked Document:

  1. Select the Bookmarks menu from the left hand navigation menu.
  2. Choose the desired bookmarked document from the scroll-down list or click Manage Bookmarks, and choose View to view the desired bookmarked document.
  3. As long as the document is still available, the bookmark will take you to your selection. If the document is no longer available you will be notified.
  4. If there are more bookmarks than will fit in the left navigation pane area, a scroll bar will appear in the navigation pane to allow scrolling to all saved bookmarks. Bookmarks are presented in alphabetical order by title.
