ACUTE EXPOSURE INFORMATION

  1. Tetrachloroethylene is irritating to the eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Signs and symptoms of exposure may include CNS depression, malaise, dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, disorientation, seizures, respiratory tract irritation, non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
  1. Eye contact may cause pain, lacrimation and burning. Dermal exposure can cause dermatitis, erythema, burns and vesiculation.
  1. Long-term exposure may cause liver, kidney and heart damage.
