ACUTE EXPOSURE INFORMATION

  1. WITH THERAPEUTIC USE
    1. Adverse effects reported with therapy include ventricular and supraventricular dysrhythmias, hypotension, angina/chest pain, mild to moderate headaches, bronchospasm, anaphylactic shock, liver function test abnormalities, rash, hypokalemia, tremor, and thrombocytopenia. Torsades de pointes is a rare occurrence with milrinone therapy.
  1. WITH POISONING/EXPOSURE
    1. Clinical effects in overdose include hypotension because of its vasodilator effect.
