ACUTE EXPOSURE INFORMATION

    1. Acute toxicity from nitrous oxide inhalation is due to asphyxia. Malignant hyperthermia has been reported rarely. Chronic intermittent inhalation of nitrous oxide is associated with leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, myeloneuropathy and severe megaloblastic anemia.
    1. Nitrous oxide is often used for its euphoric effects. "Nanging" is a term used to describe the misuse of nitrous oxide from cartridges used for making whipped cream.
