ACUTE EXPOSURE INFORMATION

  1. The major toxic effects of sulfur trioxide mimic those of SULFURIC ACID.
    1. It is IRRITATING or CORROSIVE to the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes.
    1. CHEMICAL PNEUMONITIS or NONCARDIOGENIC PULMONARY EDEMA may occur following inhalation.
  1. FROSTBITE INJURY may occur with dermal exposure to liquified sulfur trioxide.
